The ScriptTeacher's first
job is to read your script, make extensive notes, analyze your writing's
strengths and weaknesses, and determine ways to help you improve
your writing skills. Once I've read the script and analyzed your
writing, I can give feedback
at least three different ways:
|
|
1) Competition-Style
Feedback and Scoring
You can get the exact
same feedback I would give you as a second-round judge for a major
screenwriting competition. That's a quick evaluation in five categories
and a numerical score in each. If you just want an idea of what
a professional thinks about your script, or how you might do in
a contest, that's $75.
2) Industry-Style
Coverage and Instruction
You can get a 4-5 page
analysis of your work, highlighting the basic writing issues that
are showing up, plus 1-2 pages of recommendations of how to improve
those specific skills. That's $120.
3) Face-to-Face
or Phone Meeting (as an addition to written feedback)
If you're in the Austin
area, we can arrange a one-hour meeting after you've had a chance
to look at the written feedback. That's another $50, but I'll buy
your coffee. If
you're not in the Austin area, we talk on the phone after you've
had a chance to look at the written feedback. That's also a good
way to operate, and is also $50. But you have to buy your own coffee.
I can also arrange multiple
one-on-one tutoring sessions, or even classes if you know some people
who would like either a one-time class, a half-day workshop, or
even a multi-week traditional screenwriting class.
If you have another idea,
give me a call or email, and we'll work it out.

Get
Started
If you're ready to go,
it's very simple. Email
me your script as a Final Draft, Celtx, pdf, or Word document.
Then choose your feedback option below, and pay with credit card
or paypal. I usually turn scripts around in a week or two, but if
you have an urgent case, be sure to let me know.
