Focus on the writing Skills While it's easy to find a script reader to tell you what's wrong with your screenplay, or even a script doctor to fix it for you, the ScriptTeacher is much more interested in helping you learn how to write a better screenplay. All of my feedback is designed to help teach you the writing skills that will most benefit both the script you send me as well as all the future scripts you write. Measurement Against Industry Standards As a contest judge for a major competition, the ScriptTeacher knows what makes a good screenplay. My approval of a contest entry places a script in at least the semi-final position, representing only the top one percent of scripts entered. While I cannot guarantee what other professionals will think of your script, you can have faith that your script has been measured against the highest standards. Respect Many who read screenplays share an unfortunate view that accepts rudeness and condescension as part of the review process. The ScriptTeacher does not. Having taught at every grade level, I have developed an ethos of respect for my students, and will never insult, belittle, or willfully discourage the writer of any script I read. |
